Convenient Location Near Elephant Orphanage and National Park

This place was really special and in a perfect location just off the elephant orphanage and national park. The staff here were exceptional and very attentive. Our food was not just good, but delightful. 😊

This place is in a great, secluded location, with very comfortable beds and modern, well-equipped amenities, and the staff are efficient and friendly.

I had a relaxing stay at Hantara Udawalawa. The bungalows were beautiful and the bed was comfortable. I enjoyed showering with the "jungle" feeling outside. The staff was nice and the open-air bathroom was a unique experience. The hotel had a minibar in the room and provided tea-coffee facilities. The beautiful garden added to the relaxing atmosphere. The food at the restaurant was delicious and I especially enjoyed the tasty meals prepared by the caring caretaker. The hotel is conveniently located near the safari area, making it an advantage for anyone staying there. The safari tour organized by the host with an amazing driver who shared his knowledge about Sri Lankan birds and animals made the experience even more enjoyable. Despite the slight drawbacks of the shower pressure and the coffee cups not being very clean, overall I highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing stay in the area.

The location of the hotel was great, it was really close to the entrance of the national park which made it very convenient for our safari. The staff at the hotel were also amazing, they were really helpful and friendly. They organized our safari and even arranged a visit to the Elephant transit home for us. The meals at the hotel were delicious, especially the dahl curry which had a rich coconut flavor and spicy sambals. It was a perfect base for exploring the surrounding area.

One thing that didn't sit well with me was the condition of the rooms. They looked a bit tired compared to the pictures I saw online.
